Rajesh Palanisamy
Rajesh Palanisamy is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His Ph.D. was focused on "Molecular functions of selected disease-related genes from Channa striatus". His current interest is on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of protective immunity against the aerosolized intracellular bacterial pathogen Coxiella burnetii (BSL3 select agent toxin and bioterrorism) and developing novel approaches for the discovery of safe, effective vaccines and immunotherapeutic strategies against virulent Coxiella.
