  • Dr. Suthi Subbarayudu is an institute Postdoctoral fellow working in Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities, Kattankulathur.
  • He obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, AP, India, with a research investigated the therapeutic potential of an antiStaphylococcus aureus and anti-biofilm molecule derived from ricinine called 4- Methoxy-1-methyl-2-oxopyridine-3-carbamide (MMOXC) on Macrophage Cell Lines Infected with Methicillin-Resistant Strains of Staphylococcus aureus.
  • He acquired both Industrial and research experience while working from places like Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories on ELISA platforms in cGMP laboratories in the development and validation of bioanalytical methods for the quantification of therapeutics in biological matrices in support of preclinical and clinical investigations.
  • He has selected in the BCIL-BITP industrial training program sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. He also received grants for his Ph. D work from Balaji Arogya Varaprasadhini (SBAVP) scheme, SVIMS, TTD.
  • He has published several articles and book chapter in well reputed journals including Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Canadian Journal of Microbiology etc.
  • His research interest is in the field of host pathogen interactions of ESKAPE pathogens and investigates the novel therapeutic approaches to combat multidrug resistant bacterial pathogens.
  • He is currently analyzing marine microbial samples to identify and investigate quorum quenchers (QQ) that combat food spoiling bacteria.
