• Mr. Karthikeyan R is a research scholar at the Department of Biotechnology currently working on exploring the toxicity of textile azo dye in zebrafish model, under the guidance of Prof. A. Jesu Arockia Raj (Research), Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities, SRMIST, Kattankulathur
• He has completed his Bachelor's in Biotechnology from D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Tamilnadu, India, and Masters in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu, India.
• He has presented the research at international conferences and completed valuable training, including "Food Safety Supervisor" by FSSAI and “Clinical Research and Clinical Data Management” conducted by Indian Healthcare BPO.
• He is a trained scholar in molecular biology techniques, Animal cell culture, Microbiology techniques, and Animal handling.
• He has received Second prize for a paper presentation titled Textile azo dye, Sudan Black B inducing hepatotoxicity demonstrated in in-vivo zebrafish larval model in the International Conference on Advancements in Understanding Life Below the Surface through Aquatic Explorations (SDG 14 – Life Below Water) organized by Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities & College of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST, Kattankulathur from 1st - 3rd November 2023
